A lil sum sum.

Howdy out there in the void of the internet.

I’m writing from my desk (my bed) with the sun setting, a sleepy baby beside me smiling his way to sleep. Dim lights, only the sun that’s setting, a lamp, and my lizards terrarium light. I have a Nag Champa incense burning in the living room. It’s an all around peaceful evening. The only thing that would make it better is if when I put my son to bed and walk past the laundry (pile) it magically washes and folds itself.

I’m going to do bedtime and then come back and write more. Brb, gonna go be mommy for a moment.

Surprise, It’s me! I’m back. Mission succesful.

I’m gonna do a full skincare routine tonight. It’s gotten more simple over the years for the everyday care but tonight we’re gonna really let our skin get clean.

No, I will not be doing any messy masks. I’m a busy single mom. Minimal mess, always.

What you’ll need:

  • Ponds Cold Cream Makeup Remover
  • Noxzema Anti-Blemish Pads
  • Toner (I have a few depending on my skin/cycle)
  • Ponds Clarant B3 (Moisturizer)
  • Hand Fan
  • Castor Oil
  • Aquaphor (I love aquaphor so much)
  • Eyebrow/Eyelash Wand
  • Time To Kill

Alright, let’s get started.

  1. Remove your makeup with the cold cream, a soft washcloth, and hot water.
  2. Use toner, it resets your skins PH.
  3. Use Noxzema pad, and then I usually let my skin breathe for a second and hit it with the hand fan.
  4. Repeat toner again. You just used an astringent on your skin. Bring the PH back in, girl.
  5. Moisturize. I start under my eyes and work my way out. I also let this step marinate for a minute.
  6. Toner again after your moisturizer dries down. I usually hit this layer with the hand fan to speed up it soaking in.
  7. Castor oil on your eyebrows (and eyelashes if you want them to grow) then stimulate the area with the eyebrow wand. I rub it in with my fingers after and brush the hairs into place.
  8. Aquaphor under my eyes and the smile lines. (Truly no better feeling than aquaphor under the eyes)
  9. Breathe and be proud you did it. Maybe drink some water.

I’ve had a shower, lotion on my skin, skincare done, hair dried, with a crisp Dr. Pepper. What a beautiful thing this moment is.

I’m listening to Monaleo. Very much so recommend her in general, but especially if you’re making a hype yourself up playlist OR one to beat someones ass.

Personally, I have both types of playlists with her featured heavily on both.

I want to set the vibe in the apartment, or at the very least my room. I think I’m gonna light a candle and dim my lamp light down. Gonna do my best to not think about the fact that my bangs got cut just a little short today and my eyebrows are visible. I feel very..seen. I keep telling myself that they will be grown out in like a week with how fast they grow. It IS just hair. Maybe this is the universe making me face my eyebrows.

After much deliberation I’ve decided on ending the evening with watching youtube, like usual. BUT, not just any youtube video.

Andrew Callaghan, Channel 5. All Gas No Brakes

He won the lawsuit to get the name back last year, officially! (Fuck Tim & Eric)

Anyway, he just posted a new video with a Bryon Noem adjacent camgirl (Lydia Love) and he is the best journalist I’ve come across in maybe my entire life, truly.

Here’s the video.

Alright, Goodnight!
